I'm not looking for a handout, I'm hoping & praying to be able to get a hand up that will help me to be able to repay with some kind of an arrangement that allows me to be able to consolidate my financial troubles & make affordable monthly payments. I can't very well walk into a bank or other financial institution & ask for a loan because my credit has become very messed up. I'm a professional & mother of a brilliant child who is a high school junior. My sweet child has been through so much & must face the fact that we will be homeless in a matter of days if a miracle does not happen for us. I was forced to leave an abusive marriage almost 2 years ago & have been divorced for about 6 months. The trouble is that I financed just about everything in my marriage and was left with all the bills. I work very hard but I am now in so much debt that I'm 3 months behind on my rent & car payment so I'm about to be homeless & without a car and all my utilities are about to be discontinued. My child has a GPA above 4.0 and that will be reduced to zero if I don't pay the $2,500 that is past due on the school account. Although I am going out of my mind I go to work every day and yet I'm making no progress. The future is so very bleak for us! We're sometimes hardly able to buy gas to drive to work & school & our eating habits have become very unhealthy. We eat whatever is cheapest. I have failed my child and I'm not certain how much longer I will be able to maintain my sanity. I'm trying to keep my child from falling into deep depression but I am in despair myself and trying to keep him cheered up. I'm trying to find a roommate and will be starting additional work soon. I'm praying for strength to do what I need to do and I trust that it is not all too late. Please help if you can. Please help me back on my feet and I pledge to repay it all and then remain in a position to pay it forward. I want to be able to help as I have been helped. I believe my child is positioned for success and without some help now all that potential could be destroyed. HELP PLEASE!!!
